Jodie Pollock is a “rural maker” in the truest sense.
Not only does she help run the family’s cattle station and is a doting mum to her family, she also successfully runs “Vicky D’s Kitchen” - manufacturing gourmet condiments and jams which are sold Australia wide.
Her goal is to tell a story, and to be told stories. To learn from each other via a connection that only the sharing of food can bestow.

Vicky D’s Kitchen is run completely from the camp kitchen on Victoria Downs, 70kms south of Charters Towers in Western Queensland. The 64,000 acre property is currently in the grips of the worst drought in living memory, and a lot of Jodie’s time is spent helping to look after the 4000 head of Brahman cattle that remain on the place. In between feed and water runs, property maintenance jobs and cooking for the station, she somehow manages to find time to produce the most exquisite handcrafted food creations which she sells via her website...
